Domestic and International Poverty Grants

The Episcopal Diocese of Maine makes funds available annually to support international and domestic efforts and ministries that help to alleviate poverty. Any Maine congregation or program group may offer a proposal to Diocesan Council for consideration to fund an international or domestic outreach or effort.


Lovett Fund Grants

Lovett Fund Grants are to be used on the maintenance and improvement of mission churches.


Digital Onboarding Grants

Digital Onboarding Grants from the Diocese of Maine are a program designed to assist churches in pivoting to worship online or via broadcast. This could be through the purchase of livestreaming equipment, extending their Wi-Fi, purchasing video editing software for recorded services, purchasing technology for broadcast and more. 


New Initiative Fund Grants

New Initiative Fund grants from Diocesan Council are available to support your call to mission!  Each congregation, diocesan committee, or program group in the Diocese of Maine is eligible to apply for funding to support new ministries, expand existing ministries in new directions, or to discern ministry possibilities in their community.

Wolf Fund Grants

The Frederick S. Wolf Fund for Enablement and Education for Lay Ministry was established by unanimous approval at the 166th Diocesan Convention as a means of acknowledging the emphasis placed by Bishop Wolf on active and informed laity.


Mission Priorities Grants

Leaders of established program groups, committees, and ministries in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine are encouraged to apply for funds in the diocesan budget each June for the following year. The grant process is tied to Mission Priorities.
