Director | Bridging the Gap, Augusta

Bridging the Gap is seeking a new director (35 hours per week). The person in this role will help guide the organization into the future! Bridging the Gap (BTG) is a low-barrier community resource serving individuals and families who are experiencing generational or circumstantial poverty, often with additional challenges including homelessness, being new to the country, substance use disorder, domestic violence, and mental illness. BTG was formed in 2017 to weave together three existing programs and currently operates as a nonprofit ministry of Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church in Augusta. BTG’s programs include Addie’s Attic Clothing Bank, Everyday Basic Essentials Hygiene Pantry, the Centralized Helping Fund and Resource Connection. Collectively, these programs now impact over 3,600 unduplicated individuals annually. The new director will inherit an established team of employees who are from all walks of life. The director will report to the Leadership Team of Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church.  Some key functions of the position are to guide, inspire and support staff, to maintain public relations and engage in relevant community conversations, create and track an annual budget, write grants, run an annual appeal and identify new funding opportunities, oversee a marketing plan, and keep up to date on best practices. Faith Formation Director | St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Windham

St Ann’s Episcopal Church in Windham has an opening for a part-time Faith Formation Director (20 hour/week). They are seeking a joyful teacher with passion for bringing others to Jesus and his word, enthusiasm for starting and growing programs for all ages of children and the attention to detail and delegation skills to make it happen. Currently they have a nursery program to provide childcare during the 10 a.m. service and a lovely playground! The primary focus of this role is providing Sunday school for 3-7 year-old children during the 10 a.m. service. The selected candidate will have lots of autonomy, creative possibilities and the satisfaction of forming the church’s offerings for children from the ground up. Degrees and experience preferred but not required. Salary commensurate with experience. Requires completion of “Keeping Your Church Safe” online training. St Ann’s Episcopal Church in Windham is seeking a part-time Church Choir Director (12-13 hours/week) to lead and enhance their musical worship program. The ideal candidate will play the organ and piano and have a general understanding of Episcopal liturgy and tradition, exceptional musical skills, and a passion for nurturing congregational singing and choir performance. Chaplain | State of Maine

Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a full time Chaplain ($26.76-$37.29/hr) to plan all phases of religious activities at Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta.  The Chaplain’s role is to recognize and address the spiritual needs of our patients,  providing them moral and spiritual guidance. Applicants should be fully ordained as a minister, priest, or rabbi, and/or have recognition as a clergy person by a national ecclesiastical body or it’s regional subdivision as well as ecclesiastical endorsement by their denomination, with a minimum of three (3) years pastoral experience, plus one (1) year and three (3) months of clinical pastoral training in an institutional accredited for this type of training – OR – six (6) months of clinical pastoral training and a doctoral level degree in pastoral counseling; a Bachelors Degree and graduation from an accredited seminary.  For additional information about this position or to request a paper application, please contact Robyn McFalls at 207-624-4672. The Communities for Spiritual Vitality (Communities) seeks a part-time project administrator to work closely with its director in the organization and execution of its mission. The Communities is an initiative through the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont, in collaboration with the Diocese of Massachusetts, whose purpose is to cultivate the spiritual vitality of laity, cultivating their relationship with Christ through spiritual practice in community with the clergy facilitators.
