Responsibilities:

The position of Secretary of the Diocese requires familiarity with the process of the Annual Diocesan Convention as well as attendance at pre-convention meetings and convention itself. The Secretary has responsibility of producing meeting minutes.

Secretary also serves as a voting member of Diocesan Council and the secretary of Council which requires attendance and minute-taking at meetings (generally, 4-5 meetings per year; 1-2 in person; others on Zoom) during the year.

The Secretary may serve on other committees of Diocesan Council, but it is not required.

Significant support is provided by the diocesan staff to fulfill canonical requirements.

Time Commitment:

Approx. 10 days per year

Expenses:

Travel, room and meals at Diocesan Convention and Diocesan Council meetings, reimbursed by diocese, if requested
