A Prayer for Our World

Lord, our world is starved for your love.
Our children die in the streets.
We are hungry and homeless.
Nation wars with nation,
and religion battles religion.
Mother Fear gives birth to
Hatred, and Father Fear
begets Greed.
Only your Divine love
can save us.
Come Creator, Friend, Spirit,
Make us conduits of your love.
May your love flowing through us
restore the world
to peace and joy.
We ask with hearts
Broken and humbled.
Hearts broken and humbled
you will not turn away.
