The deadline for submitting a resolution for the 2025 Diocesan Convention (Sept. 22) has passed. Proposed resolutions will be available on the convention page and emailed out after Oct. 6.

Members of the Resolutions Committee for 2025  The Rev. Tracy Shaffer, chair; Hon. Marge Kilkelly, John Hennessy, The Rev. Tom Mousin, and Betsy York, invited everyone that was working on a resolution, had an idea for a resolution, or wanted to learn more about the process to a learning session on September 4, 2025. You can watch this recording of that Resolution Learning Session or click through the presentation. It teaches a bit about the role of resolutions in The Episcopal Church, crafting a resolution, and the life cycle of a resolution.

Who can submit a resolution? You! Resolutions can be submitted by parishioners in good standing, convention delegates, parishes, interim bodies, justice councils, and the bishop. Resolutions call on the convention to take specific legislative action, such as amending the canons, creating/funding/starting a particular initiative, or enacting specific policies and procedures. Start dreaming of the changes you would like to see in 2026.
