From evening meetings to prayer groups to day long pop-up events, youth in grades 6-12 can find all sorts of ways to get involved and meet teens from across the Episcopal Diocese of Maine while exploring their faith.
Our youth identify as different genders, races, political persuasions (if any), and each is on their own journey with God. But they find something in common – Maine Episcopal Youth events are always places where you’ll be accepted for who you really are, where you can explore questions big and small for yourself, where you can grow closer to Jesus Christ, and where you can grow into the person God made you to be.
Youth Ministry events are open to teens of all abilities/disabilities, health, religions, sexual orientations, national origins, gender identities, citizenship statuses, etc. If you have special needs, let us know in advance so we can make things good for you.
Invite your friends!
Adventure. Service. Worship. New friends. Fun. Events for middle and high school students are all these and more. Kids from all over Maine get together to reach outside of themselves. They come from Episcopal churches all over the Diocese – and lots of their friends come, too. Watch our calendar for upcoming events!
Youth from across the Episcopal Diocese of Maine are invited come and find their Rock. 6th-12th grade youth, along with young adult and adult staff, will gather to build friendships, play and pray alongside other teens, and crack open their faith. Watch our calendar for info on this year's event!
Every three years, the Episcopal Church convenes an international high school youth event so “that the energy of the youth of the Episcopal Church can continue to be utilized in active ministry as members of the Body of Christ.” Stay tuned for info on the 2023 event!
A mission exchange is an opportunity for two communities to get to know one another over time, to learn from one another, and to mutually benefit from working together to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world. Check our event calendar for details.
No one has ever been turned away from a Maine Episcopal Youth Event because of inability to pay.
If you’re a teen who needs partial financial aid, then just check the financial aid box on the registration form. If you need 100% financial aid, or if there isn’t a box on the form, then just ask the event leader or your priest. (And remember to thank your priest after the event, because most churches contribute significantly to financial aid for the teens in their church!)
The congregation and the Diocese of Maine split the scholarship cost for any teen who needs it. But if the teen isn’t part of an Episcopal congregation, or if the congregation can’t contribute, then the Diocese of Maine takes care of it.
Your donations are always welcome!
