– how to introduce three types of meditative prayer: lectio divina, Ignatian meditation and Centering Prayer
– how to encourage and utilize meditative prayer in group settings (e.g. vestries, small groups, etc.)
– how to design and lead retreats and Quiet Days
Presenters: Brothers David Vryhof and Jamie Nelson of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist in Cambridge MA will be with us for the day. The SSJE Brothers have a long history of teaching, preaching, offering spiritual direction and leading retreats. Both brothers are experienced spiritual directors and retreat leaders.
A simple lunch will be provided.
