You’re invited to science discussions at Grace, Bath on three different Sundays after the 9:30 a.m. service. See topics below.

June 1, 10:45 a.m.:  Physics and Faith

Is physics incompatible with faith?  If the world runs according to the laws of physics, is there any room for God, or for purpose, or for answers to prayer? William Wootters, a theoretical physicist, offers that the picture of the world of physics gives is more subtle, more open and more hospitable to mystery than one might imagine.

June 29, 10:45 a.m.:  Our Coasts and Oceans

Beyond rising sea levels, ocean acidification, and pollutants such as microplastics, what threats are on the horizon? Nancy Kinner, Professor of Civil Environmental Engineering at UNH, offers insights on proposed replacements for traditional fossil fuels, impacts of opening the Arctic to shipping and nurdles.

July 13, 10:45 a.m.:  Addiction and Spirituality
