What: This is an event for middle and high school age Episcopalians to come to Maine to share in the beauty of Creation, and to work with faith leaders to learn about how to protect and advocate for it!

The triennial Episcopal Youth Event is not being held in 2026, so we are offering a way for our youth to come together, build community, and learn about protecting our earth —in the beautiful part of the world called Downeast Maine!

There will be a combination of science programming, presentations from leaders in faith-based advocacy, and time for prayer, art, reflection and more.

Who: Middle and high school youth (there will be two tracks) along with their chaperone(s). (In other words, we will provide the lodging, food, and programming and you’ll provide the kids, transportation, and supervision.)

When: June 29-July 2, 2026

Where: The Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park in Maine.
Groups will stay in the bunkhouse on campus, and there will be programming during the days both on- and off-campus if groups would like.

How: Groups will email Emily Keniston, director of Faith Formation in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine at [email protected] with questions or to alert her to interest. When registration opens, sign up and make travel arrangements!

Cost: We don’t yet know as we’re currently seeking grants to defray costs for youth groups to attend. As soon as we know, we will let you know!
