Everyone is invited to join Election Night Virtual Prayers hosted by The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations from 8 to 10 p.m. Nov. 5.

Bishop Sean Rowe, who will become presiding bishop on Nov. 1, will offer an opening reflection and prayer.

Episcopalians from around the church will hold silence and lead participants in prayers together for peace, the nation, and all people and countries.

The following Maine churches are open for election-focused prayer:

  • St Alban’s, Cape Elizabeth will host Evening Prayer at 6 p.m. the evening before Election Day, Monday, Nov. 4.
  • Cathedral of St. Luke, Portland will be open for prayer from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5 with Eucharist at 12:10 p.m.
  • St Mary’s, Falmouth will be open for prayer 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov 5.
  • St. Francis, Blue Hill will be open for prayer and meditation the day after the election, Wednesday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to noon.
