Attend a Contemplative Knitting Workshop at St. Andrew’s, Newcastle on October 28. Together with Julie Cicora, retired Episcopal priest and author of the book “Contemplative Knitting”,they’ve planned a day-long retreat to explore the connection between knitting and crocheting with prayer and meditation. Learn how to transform these calming and meditative activities into a spiritual practice. Whether you are an experienced knitter/crocheter, or a novice, bring your yarn and needles and discover how to quiet your mind and open your heart to God. Julie Cicora is a retired Episcopal priest who loves to knit! Her interests include writing , riding her motorcycle, and spending time with her grandchildren. The cost for the day is $25, with all proceeds going to St. Andrew’s outreach programs. Bottled water, coffee, and tea will be provided, but bring a packed lunch. To sign up, or for more information, please email Laurie Gray.
