For more than 30 years, family-owned Qumri Pilgrimages has guided Christians on experiences to deepen their relationships with Jesus in the Holy Land. About Deirdre Good, Th.D.
Deirdre Good was born in Kenya to missionary parents from the Church of Ireland. She grew up under mosquito nets, with outdoor plumbing, boarding school, and visits to the Indian Ocean every three months. It was a shock to fly to the UK and discover fog, indoor plumbing, and eiderdowns. During her career teaching the New Testament and Christian origins, she co-led trips to Turkey, and has visited Israel. She presently lives in Maine with snow, fog, ice, indoor plumbing, and a supply of marmite. She is a lay leader at St. Margaret’s, Belfast.
