SUMMARY:Conversation about Advocacy in the Diocese of Maine
DESCRIPTION:SAVE-THE-DATE \nYou are invited to a discussion about advocacy in the diocese with Bishop Brown and staff on Wednesday\, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. on Zoom. We’ll talk about what the Maine Episcopal Public Policy Network (MEPPN) can do\, how it will be organized following a period of transition\, and how its priorities will be established. When the meeting takes place on Dec. 9\, we may have an idea of the proposed bills coming before the new Maine legislative session which can inform our next actions as a network. Let’s think about how MEPPN integrates with and amplifies the work of the Maine Council of Churches (MCC) and The Episcopal Church’s Office of Governmental Relations (OGR). Please join us if you are interested in determining how we focus and guide our congregations in the areas where our collective power can have the greatest impact. This meeting is for all who are committed to living out our baptismal promises in the public square.
