SUMMARY:EYE 2023
DESCRIPTION:Maine will be sending a delegation! Read through this Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) Frequently Asked Questions one-sheet for details! We hope this document will answer any questions you may have about EYE\, and will excite you about attending! Stay tuned for details about joining the Maine delegation. \nWho: Episcopal high school youth from across The Episcopal Church gather in delegations from their home diocese (or combined diocesan groups)\, along with their youth leaders. This event is open to Episcopal youth in grades 9-12 during the 2022-23 academic year and their adult mentors. \nWhat: The Episcopal Youth Event happens every three years and is the largest gathering of Episcopal youth in the world. In fact\, it’s the second largest gathering of Episcopalians (any age)\, second only to General Convention. It’s an event made for youth\, by youth and spans three days/four nights. Following the Episcopal Youth Ministries Facebook page and Episcopal Youth Event Facebook page will share pictures from past events.  \nWhen: The event happens every three years (to ensure that all high school youth have a chance to attend once during their high school years)\, and this year it will be held July 4-8\, 2023. \nWhere: The venue changes for each event\, and this year it will be held at the University of Maryland\, College Park campus. \nWhy: Young people are the NOW of our Church\, not only the future. This event invites young people to connect with other Episcopalians from around the country\, to worship and praise God in new ways\, to engage conversations about the future of our world and our Church through the lens of God at work in our lives now.
