SUMMARY:Youth Retreat Weekend: Faith in the Forest
DESCRIPTION:April 29 – May 1 \nCamp Bishopswood \nFor the first time in two years\, Episcopal Maine Youth will gather in person for an overnight retreat – and we want you to be there! \nREGISTER NOW to join us for a weekend of fun\, friendship\, community service\, and some Jesus thrown in for good measure! All 6th-12th graders welcome. \nThis spring\, Episcopal Maine Youth will gather in person for an overnight retreat on the grounds of Camp Bishopswood. Our theme is Faith in the Forest. We’ll spend time hiking through the trees\, entering into the mythical world of enchantments and woodland creatures\, and wondering what all of this has to do with our lives as faithful Christians. \nThe retreat begins after dinner at 6 PM on Friday\, and concludes with a brief communion service at 10 AM on Sunday. \nVaccinations:\nAll participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19\, and will be asked for verification. Please contact Sara D’Angio White with any questions or concerns. \nHousing:\nWe will not base our housing decisions on gender. All cabins will be mixed-gender cabins\, with private spaces for all youth for both changing and bathing. Youth may request being placed in a cabin with specific friends on their registration form. We began non-gender segregated housing pre-Covid\, and are excited to continue this inclusive practice. Please contact Sara D’Angio White with any questions. \n*This weekend coincides with Camp Bishopswood’s Work Weekend. If the rest of your family is interested in volunteering at Bishopswood that weekend\, click here to find out more.
