DESCRIPTION:About the conference:\nSunday\, May 3 – Tuesday\, May 5\nSchoodic Institute\, Winter Harbor\, ME\nBrought to you by the Clergy Formation Committee \nJoin fellow clergy and the Rev. Isaiah “Shaneequa” Brokenleg at the beautiful Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor for our 2026 Clergy Conference. \nThe Rev. Brokenleg (she/her) has served as The Episcopal Church’s staff officer for racial reconciliation since 2020 and has recently been named interim missioner for the Office of Indigenous Ministries. She will lead us in discussion and crafts around the topic of “Wolakota: Right Relationship.” \nThis will be a thoughtful and stirring time of prayer\, truth-telling\, challenge\, and growth. We will enjoy the blessings of fellowship\, worship and prayer\, rest and quiet in the wonderful natural setting of the Schoodic Peninsula. \nRegistration:\nRegistration is in two parts: \n\nEvent registration – $100\nSchoodic Institute lodging registration – Per Person\, $213.64\, Shared Apartment\n\nDeadline is April 20. \nCheck-in is at 3 p.m. on Sunday and departure will be after Eucharist and lunch on Tuesday. An event agenda will be posted here prior to the event. \nYour registration is not considered final until you have completed both parts. \nIf you are seeking financial assistance\, please read through the Loring Fund guidelines and apply for a grant using the form below as soon as possible. \n\nGrants are available from the Loring Fund for canonically resident clergy (priests and deacons) of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine and non-canonically resident\, but licensed clergy\, who are serving in the diocese.\nPending the availability of funds\, the yearly limit on grant monies awarded to an individual is $3\,000\, with a cap of no more than $7\,500 over five years.\nClergy must apply in advance of event/program.\nGrant recipients are required to submit a short\, written evaluation of the activity after its concludes.\n\nLoring Fund Grant Application for Conference \nAbout the presenter:\nThe Reverend Isaiah “Shaneequa” Brokenleg (she/her) is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sicangu Nation).  She is an Episcopal priest in the diocese of South Dakota.  From a cultural perspective\, she believes we are all related and\, as such\, we are all called to be “good relatives” to one another.  As a winktè\, Shaneequa is called to be a healer and move communities in the direction of positive change.  From an academic perspective\, she has a Masters of Public Health Degree from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Divinity degree from Church Divinity School of the Pacific. Shaneequa is the staff officer for racial reconciliation and the interim Indigenous missioner at The Episcopal Church.  She is passionate about social justice\, and working to end the structural oppression/violence that hurts us all. She strives to live out her calling through her work\, our church\, her art\, and in her life. \n\n\n  \n  \n
