SUMMARY:Contemplative Knitting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Attend a Contemplative Knitting Workshop at St. Andrew’s\, Newcastle on October 28. Together with Julie Cicora\, retired Episcopal priest and author of the book “Contemplative Knitting”\,they’ve planned a day-long retreat to explore the connection between knitting and crocheting with prayer and meditation. Learn how to transform these calming and meditative activities into a spiritual practice. Whether you are an experienced knitter/crocheter\, or a novice\, bring your yarn and needles and discover how to quiet your mind and open your heart to God. Julie Cicora is a retired Episcopal priest who loves to knit! Her interests include writing \, riding her motorcycle\, and spending time with her grandchildren. The cost for the day is $25\, with all proceeds going to St. Andrew’s outreach programs. Bottled water\, coffee\, and tea will be provided\, but bring a packed lunch. To sign up\, or for more information\, please email Laurie Gray.
