Faith in a Conflicted World: Crossing Divides and Navigating Disagreement
Thursday, July 15th
3:00pm EDT online
Offered by CEEP
Join the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Reconciliation Team for an important conversation on the faithful's work as peacemakers in pursuit of a just and flourishing world. Learn how, when we see hurting and fracture all around, there is opportunity for recognizing divides to be crossed in new and reimagined ways. The panel will explore how to do this practically and introduce you to Difference, a priority for the Archbishop.
Difference offers three transformative habits seen in the life of Jesus; Be Curious, Be Present and Reimagine. The Difference Course is a series of 5 interactive sessions for you to run with your own group in your parish or in your wider world. Kiera Phyo and Demarius J. Walker will also share from their experience of running the Difference Course with their own groups in the UK and US and share their top tips.
Panelists include:
  • Kiera Phyo - Director of the Reconciling Leaders Network, Lambeth Palace - London, United Kingdom
  • Demarius J. Walker - Virginia Theological Seminary Graduate; Community Organizer and Protest Chaplain, Atlanta Interfaith Protest Chaplaincy; Atlanta, Georgia
