Visio Divina: The Word Come to Life

Tuesday, December 8 at 3:00pm

Visio Divina is an ancient practice intended bringing the participant into the presence of the Divine through use of a sacred image. The Saint John's Bible is a powerful tool used throughout the world to help illuminate the Word through the Image.

In our second Visio Divina session, and one geared to our season of waiting as Advent dawns, the CEEP Network are invited to time with Tim Ternes, director of The Saint John's Bible. On December 8 at 3:00pm ET, Tim will lead participants in a group Visio Divina discussion utilizing an illumination from the 1,150-page manuscript.

This participatory session will allow attendees to interact with Tim live and in real time. Together we will unpack the pairing of Word and Image while focusing on one or two specific passages and original illuminations. Join us for this special Advent offering as we expand your spiritual and visual imagination through this ancient practice.

Panelists include:

Tim Ternes - Director, The Saint John's Bible and HTML Programming, Hill Museum & Manuscript Library, Saint John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota
Brad Neary -Director, The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program; Seattle, Washington
