What’s Next? What stays and what goes?
Webinar (The CEEP Network)
May 13 @ 3 p.m. ET
A Webinar on Parish Communications
Over the past 8 weeks, churches made the unexpected leap into worshiping online, tackling new, and sometimes bewildering, technical requirements, and learning how to convene the great cloud of saints in the cloud. As we start a new season, literally and figuratively, we are moving into an ever-changing new normal promising to include both digital and online experiences.
As we plan in-person gatherings, what do they look like and how do we simultaneously create appealing digital options for those who can’t gather in-person? How do we unobtrusively integrate technology into in-person gatherings? How do we realign our communications staff to support both digital and in-person experiences? What is sustainable? What is desirable? What makes disciples? What builds the kingdom of God? Where are the opportunities for evangelism? (How do we not get utterly Zoomed out?) Now that we have gone boldly into the digital world, and as we plan for in-person gatherings again, what from the virtual world is worth keeping?
Join our panelists as we consider pragmatic and strategic next steps, framed always in formation, discipleship, evangelism, and pastoral care. These experienced communicators will explore the questions that every parish needs to answer in the coming months.
Panelists include:
Lisa Brown, Moderator, Director of Digital Ministry, Membership Vision; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Lori Blewett, Director of Communications, St. David’s Church; Austin, Texas
Deon Johnson, Bishop-Elect, Diocese of Missouri; St. Louis, Missouri
Marissa S. Rohrbach, Rector, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church; Wilton, CT
Jeremy Tackett, Office of Communication, The Episcopal Church; New York, New York
