Summer Finale Week

It’s camp for everyone!

The Episcopal Diocese of Maine and Camp Bishopswood invite you...

Join us for Summer Finale Camp 2018 (the week of August 20-26 or just one half of the week; see registration for details). Everyone is welcome! Come experience a wonderful, meaningful time in this camp community. At Bishopswood, you'll have the opportunity to unplug, relax, grow, play and enjoy life in God's creation.

Bishopswood is nestled in the woods on the shores of Lake Megunticook in Hope, which is five miles from Camden, Maine. It is one of the most beautiful places to experience a week of Maine summer.

The delicious home-cooked meals are made with many ingredients harvested from local farms.

Whether you are hoping to relax by the lake, enjoy active recreation, explore spirituality or have fun meeting new people - this week is for you. Enjoy activities facilitated by the Bishopswood staff which include archery, sailing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, tie-dye, scavenger hunts, ultimate frisbee, faith exploration, music, theatre, slingshot zone, arts & crafts, sports & games, ropes course, camp-wide games, coffee house, capture the flag, show-gun show-down game, candlelight Eucharist.

In addition to all of our traditional camp activities, there will also be opportunities to experience the local mid-coast area: Tuesday - Mount Megunticook hike, Wednesday - schooner ride (additional cost), Thursday - Farnsworth Museum (admission fee), Friday - canoe trip and hike up Maiden's Cliff, Saturday - Breakwater Lighthouse and Beech Hill Preserve. These trips may change days depending on weather.

Middle schoolers and high schoolers who have completed grades 6-12 are invited to Youth Camp at Summer Finale Week (formerly BION), where they will live in age-group cabins with camp counselors. They should register here.

Fees include lodging, meals and all the great activities you get to do at camp.
